As Finance Manager, you will manage the finance function, ensuring an efficient and effective service is delivered, strong internal control is maintained at all times and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the finance department/function and ensuring work is completed to a high standard

  • Assisting with the production of timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting in accordance with group and UK standards and other industry regulations 

  • Supporting the trust business planning and forecasting process, appraising performance against forecast 

  • Assisting with group reporting for designated entities and ensuring timely submission

  • Managing the purchase ledger and receivable ledger function for all Jersey companies 

Experience and skills required:

  • Hold a relevant professional qualification such as CIMA or ACCA 

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar management role 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to conduct presentations 

  • Proven knowledge of appropriate Jersey legislation and regulation and the ability to demonstrate both compliance, risk and audit awareness

  • Wide ranging experience and skills in the understanding and application of accounting and bookkeeping principles and the interpretation of financial statements
