An excellent career opportunity for a Senior Chartered Surveyor or Project Manager to join an ambitious and growing team in Jersey, overseeing a range of new build and refurbishment housing projects.
Within this role you will oversee the professional team responsible for project development and pro-actively manage the team, data, risks and issues, to deliver excellent homes in partnership with third party partners and contractors.
Ideally you will have previous experience managing property or housing projects and be comfortable operating with autonomy in a dynamic working environment.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the development of project plans, including setting objectives, business case preparation and managing budgets
Building strong working relationships with stakeholders, the project team and third party developers and contractors
Setting up contracts and the tender process
Actively identifying resolutions and improvements to processes
Leading the delivery of projects, reporting and ensuring the best service is delivered
Experience and skills required:
Ideally educated to degree level within a building design, construction, surveying, engineering or other building-related discipline (or qualified by experience)
Membership of a relevant building, design or construction professional body e.g. Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors
Minimum 10 years’ project management or contract delivery experience in property surveying, ideally with experience of housing developments
Comprehensive understanding of building assessment, design, construction and/or commissioning techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of attention to detail
