Work with a varied customer base, providing consultancy and 3rd line support as a Senior IT Network Security Specialist within an established IT services company.
Using your communication skills and IT knowledge, you will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to delivering the highest level of client service. Some out of hours work may be required and this role will be part of a 24/7 rota system.
This is a great opportunity to build and develop your knowledge of network and communication systems and protocols.
Responsibilities will include:
Actively liaising with customers to design and deploy firewall based managed services
Installing and configuring firewalls
Responding to customer queries and escalating, as appropriate
Attending and presenting at workshops and sales opportunities sessions
Assisting with networking issues, routing, switching and firewalls across multi-vendor equipment
Experience and skills required:
Previous experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of Cisco networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless)
Ability to troubleshoot internet connectivity
Basic firewall understanding (NAT, ACL, SSL/IPSEC VPN’s)
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
