A new and exciting challenge for a senior compliance professional to join an international workforce, providing independent assurance to the Group on the company’s compliance with relevant regulations and applicable codes of conduct.

Being an integral part of the compliance team, you will develop, maintain and manage the implementation of the Group compliance monitoring framework.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and controlling all compliance monitoring reports to ensure sufficient and appropriate evidence, including performance of effective quality assurance on work undertaken by the team

  • Providing oversight for reviews to ensure alignment with the Group compliance monitoring methodology and the delivery of reviews that provide the required level of assurance

  • Leading and driving the development of all risk-based compliance monitoring plans to ensure coverage of key compliance risks across the Group

  • Reporting compliance risks that have been identified through compliance monitoring reviews and providing recommendations on sustainable remediation programmes

  • Applying knowledge of the regulatory environment and business units to enhance the awareness of regulatory obligations by managing teams of people to perform quality monitoring reviews 

Experience and skills required:

  • 8-10 years' experience in compliance monitoring, auditing or risk management within a financial services organisation or one of the big four auditing forms

  • Previous experience in leading a risk and compliance team and working with management to deliver on risk mitigation 

  • Strong understanding of the various laws and regulations regulating the financial services industry

  • Ability to assess governance and control frameworks against the appropriate risk appetite and enhance the risk management culture in line with organisational objectives

  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of risk management methodologies, tools, governance structures and regulatory requirements for good management of risk

  • 3-4 years' experience in the corporate and investment banking sector with an understanding of the how the business and products are structures and operate
