A leading multi-jurisdictional financial services provider is currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join their team on a 5-month contract to assist with business planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles for the group.
This will be an interesting and challenging opportunity where you will also help to drive the development of the management information platform to deliver quality business performance reporting and analysis. You will also provide business directors and managers with insightful analytics and timely reporting.
This role can be based in Jersey, London or Southampton
Responsibilities will include:
Developing and assisting with the delivery of reporting to key stakeholders
Supporting the business planning cycle, including detailed financial modelling and analysis
Assisting in the quarterly re-forecasting process, including developing billings and revenue forecasts
Developing, building and maintaining the direct cost model, looking at KPIs and managing variance to budget
Analysing current and past trends in key performance indicators in revenue, operating costs and cash flow
Experience and skills required:
Hold a recognised professional accountancy qualification such as ACCA/ACA
Minimum 4 years accounting experience, including financial planning and analysis experience
Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS principles
Ability to work well within a team and independently using own initiative
Strong excel modelling expertise and experience managing planning cycles and tracking balance sheets
