A leading law firm with a unique team spirit have a new opportunity within their operations team to work on the development and maintenance of a global framework of policies, procedures and processes during the next 6-9 months.

In this role you will be expected to demonstrate a focus on client service delivery and training, as they will be relying on you to help keep the business and teams operating in a safe and compliant way.

This is the ideal opportunity where you will help others to excel whilst gaining an in-depth understanding of how a global business operates, 

 Responsibilities will include:

  • Updating and developing policies and procedures for the group, involving both independent research and working collaboratively with the management team in each jurisdiction

  • Analysing new legal and regulatory requirements and working closely with in-house counsel to identify areas where new or improved policies and procedures are required

  • Supporting the Senior Manager to help provide or arrange relevant training for the team so that they are familiar with the controls framework and have the opportunity to ask questions

  • Managing templates, checklists and processes across the business, so that these are as consistent and easy to use as possible

  • Receiving and reviewing feedback requests from team members in each jurisdiction, recognising that this feedback is vital for the company's policies and procedures to remain user-friendly and effective  

Experience and skills required:

  • Ideally at least 5 years' experience in a relevant role at a regulated business

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, with a suitable accounting, governance or legal qualification

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Technical knowledge of best practice when it comes to drafting policies and procedures

  • Comfortable working as part of a team, as well as independently – taking charge of your own workload and proactively suggesting areas you'd like to get involved with
