Within this role, you will fulfil the roles of MLRO and MLCO and support the Director of Compliance in ensuring all jurisdictions comply with the firm's compliance and AML policies and procedures.
You will also have line management responsibilities and oversee the effectiveness of all compliance controls, including developing systems and ensuring policies are kept up to date, in line with evolving requirements.
Responsibilities will include:
Undertaking the local compliance monitoring programme and related testing
Acting as a subject matter expert on data protection and reporting on any breaches
Reviewing suspicious activity reports and escalating, as appropriate
Countersigning high risk/PEP client acceptance approvals and ‘trigger event’ client due diligence, as required
Assisting with management reporting to committees and organising group training, as required
Experience and skills required:
Minimum 5 years’ compliance experience
Ideally hold a relevant professional qualification
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
An assertive professional manner and the ability to influence and persuade
Ability to work well within a team and independently with minimal supervision
