As Head of HR you will be responsible for ensuring HR objectives are aligned with business strategies and oversee the delivery of a quality service to the business. You will be expected to take into consideration the recruitment and retention strategy and learning and career development initiatives, identifying and developing ‘high potential’ within the business and monitoring market intelligence.
You will also oversee the implementation and development of a comprehensive HR framework supporting policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with HR legislation across Jersey and Guernsey.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing HR advice and support to line managers and employees to assist with the maintenance of good employee relationships and dealing with any disciplinary issues
Developing and monitoring the performance appraisal process and assisting with compensation reviews
Overseeing the administration of the benefits scheme and monthly payroll
Overseeing the induction and onboarding process
Working with the business to identify training needs and recommending appropriate solutions
Overseeing the recruitment and selection process
Experience and skills required:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in managing and developing a HR function
CIPD qualified
Excellent working knowledge of employment, discrimination and data protection legislation in Jersey and Guernsey
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Ability to produce new HR initiatives in line with business strategy and delivery of projects
Evidence of strong stakeholder management skills, ideally gained in a professional services environment
