As Head of Compliance you will ensure that the company is compliant and adheres to all laws, codes, orders and regulations. You will report to the Board of Directors on any matters of concern and assess and report on all areas of risk.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Keeping abreast of all regulatory matters likely to impact the way business is conducted and advising the Board accordingly

  • Acting as the principal point of contact on regulatory matters with the Jersey Financial Services Commission and responding promptly to requests

  • Recommending appropriate changes to policies and procedures and ensuring a monitoring plan is approved each year and all monitoring is delivered in accordance with timescales

  • Undertaking the functions of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer for the company 

  • Monitoring the external AML environment including typologies and identifying the implications for the business and it's policies, procedures and controls 

Experience and skills required:

  • Qualified compliance professional with experience and thorough working knowledge of regulatory requirements and key legislation 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently to staff at all levels

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills 

  • Ability to work on own initiative under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Accuracy and attention to detail are vital
