A key person role supporting the Group Head of Risk and Compliance in a growing independently owned business, leading the development and promotion of the anti-financial crime (including anti-bribery and corruption and countering the financing of terrorism) strategy across the group.

In this role you will also oversee the execution of a comprehensive review and reporting programme on regulatory aspects of the business from an anti-financial crime perspective.
Responsibilities will include:
Establishing and maintaining a strong anti-financial crime compliance framework and providing a professional advisory service to the business
Acting as deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance Officer to various entities as required
Building a strong working relationship with the JFSC and acting as a liaison person for the Joint Financial Crimes Unit and any other relevant government authorities whether in Jersey or internationally
Identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting on any relevant risks in transactions, businesses and processes
Keeping up to date with any changes in regulatory requirements and translating these across the business
Overseeing anti-financial crime training delivered to client facing teams
Experience and skills required:
Minimum 10 years’ relevant finance industry experience with at least 5 years’ experience within the compliance environment
Hold a Table 4 professional qualification
Detailed knowledge and understanding of anti-financial crime legislation and regulations
Strong commitment to client service and excellence
Ability to train and educate all levels of staff
