A key person role supporting the Group Head of Risk and Compliance in a growing independently owned business, leading the development and promotion of the anti-financial crime (including anti-bribery and corruption and countering the financing of terrorism) strategy across the group.

In this role you will also oversee the execution of a comprehensive review and reporting programme on regulatory aspects of the business from an anti-financial crime perspective.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining a strong anti-financial crime compliance framework and providing a professional advisory service to the business

  • Acting as deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer and/or Money Laundering Compliance Officer to various entities as required 

  • Building a strong working relationship with the JFSC and acting as a liaison person for the Joint Financial Crimes Unit and any other relevant government authorities whether in Jersey or internationally 

  • Identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting on any relevant risks in transactions, businesses and processes 

  • Keeping up to date with any changes in regulatory requirements and translating these across the business

  • Overseeing anti-financial crime training delivered to client facing teams

Experience and skills required:

  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant finance industry experience with at least 5 years’ experience within the compliance environment 

  • Hold a Table 4 professional qualification 

  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of anti-financial crime legislation and regulations 

  • Strong commitment to client service and excellence

  • Ability to train and educate all levels of staff
