Play a key role in a leading professional services provider, helping to shape the data protection frameworks to ensure compliance with personal data protection and privacy legislation, in the jurisdictions this company operates in.
Using your technical knowledge of GDPR, DPA and PECR legislation, you will provide advice to the business and develop and maintain a robust framework. You will also act as the company’s Data Protection Officer.
Responsibilities will include:
Acting as a key point of contact between the company and relevant data protection authorities
Keeping up to date with any data protection changes and developments
Developing and maintaining a robust data protection framework, ensuring company policies are updated
Maintaining accurate records, including updating the data breach register as required
Responding to queries and data subject requests about how data is being used and the measures in place to protect data
Reporting on personal data protection matters
Experience and skills required:
Previous experience in a similar role, including experience implementing data protection frameworks within a global business
Expert knowledge of GDPR, DPA and PECR
Ideally hold relevant industry qualifications in either law, compliance or data protection, such as CIPP/E
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Collaborative approach to tasks
