Drive forward new business opportunities and play an integral role in the continued success of a reputable trust company, in this client centric group role. As the Business Development Director, you will have the primary responsibility for promoting the group to open up new markets, whilst increasing exposure and growth in existing markets. 

Working in an entrepreneurial environment, you will be part of a tight-knit team of professionals, assisting in the development, oversight and implementation of the business development. You will also support marketing strategies and the associated governance and compliance framework. 

This role will involve travel to key markets and group subsidiary offices.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • Nurturing and assisting with the onboarding of new business opportunities for the Group subsidiaries

  • Engaging in marketing activity to include the creation of client pitch documentation and other marketing materials 

  • Attending, speaking at and representing more widely the Group and its subsidiaries at seminars, conferences and other networking events

  • Assisting the Group and its subsidiaries in the development, oversight and implementation of the respective business’ business development and marketing strategies

  • Supporting the Group and its subsidiaries with financial planning and budgeting pertaining to business development and marketing activity

  • Provision and presentation of statistical reporting/management information to subsidiary board meetings demonstrating prospective client lead times/progress, estimated income generation and trend analysis 

Experience and skills required:

  • Technical and practical experience of funds, fiduciary and corporate solutions

  • Key market experience including the UK (London and regions), central and eastern Europe, Africa and the Middle East

  • Strong communication and negotiating skills

  • Strategic planning experience 

  • Commercial awareness and excellent leadership skills
