A unique opportunity for a Financial Controller to join an innovative business in the investment management industry and have responsibility for the management the Group’s accounting and tax matters.
Working closely with the Executive team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for developing financial internal controls, policies and procedures and assist with board reporting, while ensuring the smooth financial operation of the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Presenting to the executive management team the financial position and performance of the company and advising on the financial implications of business activities
Implementing and enhancing financial and accounting systems, processes, tools and control systems
Managing the regulatory and statutory financial reporting, ensuring all external audits and other regulatory requirements are completed on time
Identifying and escalating financial risk factors and ensuring there are internal controls in place, as well as compliance with GAAP and local regulatory laws
Building and maintaining strong working relationships with banks and senior executives
Acting as a senior signatory across the group’s bank accounts and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors
Experience and skills required:
Previous experience as a senior manager in a regulated environment, with experience of management and supervision
Qualified Accountant, with strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting
Experience of presenting to and influencing boards
Confident written and verbal communication skills
Strong academic background
