Alongside managing the financial control function, you will support the Group Financial Controller in the delivery of accurate and insightful financial information to key stakeholders, assist the financial planning and analysis team with reporting on the commercial performance of the business and manage the audit and statutory reporting process for the business.
Responsibilities will include:
Closing the books on a monthly basis and managing the general ledger
Acting as subject matter expert for designated key accounting issues
Carrying out technical accounting tasks, ensuring IFRS standards are adhered too
Acting as first point of contact on the audit and statutory reporting process
Assisting with tax and regulatory compliance reporting
Working closely with the finance operations team on tasks such as reviewing reconciliations, purchase ledgers and receivables
Experience and skills required:
Hold a relevant finance, accountancy or treasury qualification gained ideally in a Big 4 accountancy firm
ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
Strong knowledge of IFRS and other GAAPs
Previous experience working in a fast-paced change environment
Previous trust and corporate services industry experience would be an advantage but is not essential
Assertive, decisive and approachable individual with the ability to make independent decisions using own initiative
