An exciting opportunity to be part of the growing governance services team in a leading law firm, where you will be provided with excellent development opportunities and enjoy working on a varied portfolio of clients and technical accounting requirements.

Working closely with the senior leaders and other members of the global client accounting team, you will provide accounting services to a range of client entities of governance services, with particular focus on the delivery of technically accurate accounts and periodic reports.

This role includes client relationship management, mentoring and coaching of individuals in the accounting team and can be based in Jersey, Guernsey or the UK.

If you have management experience in a client accounting environment, with excellent and current technical accounting knowledge and looking to be part of a friendly team where you will be challenged, this could be the ideal role for you.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing accurate and timely financial statements including complex accounting work

  • Reviewing monthly, quarterly and semi-annual reports and net asset valuations

  • Ensuring accurate and up to date accounting records are maintained in client entity databases

  • Building trusted relationships with clients, auditors and third party service providers

  • Collaborating with client administration and other colleagues globally, providing explanations, advice and accounting support as and when required

  • Ensuring consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and dealing swiftly with any identified issues

Experience and skills required:

  • Fully qualified (ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by relevant experience

  • Up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, including practical application

  • Previous experience of accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint and Yardi would be an advantage

  • Strong excel skills and attention to detail

  • Aptitude for data analysis/problem solving

  • Professional, pro-active and service orientated approach
