A stimulating working environment for a compliance professional within a consistently ranked top tier law firm, acting as Business Analyst and also deputising for the firm’s MLRO.
Within this role you will actively promote right working practices and a strong compliance culture, whilst also providing expertise in relation to controls systems, projects and testing. You will ensure a robust AML/CFT sanctions framework and systems are in place in relation to sanctions screening and assist with technical CDD queries.
Ideally you will have good knowledge of Jersey AML/CFT legislation and strong analytical skills.
Responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of systems and controls in relation to sanctions screening, online training and AML client information
Supporting the MLRO/MLCO with decisions relating to new client take on
Conducting initial suspicious activity investigations and drafting conclusions
Assisting with technical referrals for more complex CDD queries
Supporting the production of reports for board committee meetings
Experience and skills required:
Previous CDD experience and good working knowledge of take on procedures and RiskScreen screening tools
Good knowledge of Jersey AML/CFT legislation
A professional compliance qualification would be an advantage
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent analytical skills
