Expand your skills and work within a unique area of accounting with a vibrant and innovative environment, on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

Within this role you will manage and support the teams in Jersey and Guernsey, ensuring a quality service is provided to an assigned portfolio of client cases. You will help provide technical advice to clients, manage relationships and review the performance of your team members.

Ideally you will be based in Guernsey, however remote candidates based in Jersey or the UK if willing to travel to Guernsey regularly for business meetings.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a portfolio of cases and ensuring all matters are properly addressed, including compliance aspects and asset realisations​

  • Identifying critical issues on cases and making recommendations to assist with commercial decisions​

  • Managing the planning and control​ of trading operations, including documenting decisions to trade and preparing trading memorandums

  • Providing support during the sale of businesses, including liaising with Lawyers

  • Reviewing progress on assignments against budget to ensure recovery targets can be achieved and investigating any variances

Experience and skills required:

  • ​Qualified Accountant or minimum 5 years’ accountancy experience

  • ​Good insolvency knowledge and previous experience in recovery assignments

  • Previous management experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills​

  • Strong planning and organisational skills​
