A global and award-winning investment company is currently seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join their finance function and provide maternity cover for a 12 month period.

In this varied role as Assistant Accountant you will have responsibility for financial reporting, working closely with the business across the finance function.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring timely settlement of supplier/purchase invoices 

  • Overseeing the accounts payable workflow within the group’s finance system 

  • Preparing payroll reports for multiple jurisdictions 

  • Bookkeeping staff costs and benefits

  • Liaising with the HR department in relation to joiners and leavers and any changes to compensation and benefits

  • Reconciling bank payments 

Experience and skills required:

  • Minimum 3 years’ accounting experience 

  • Previous experience working with accounting systems 

  • Good numeracy skills 

  • Team player 

  • Highly organised and excellent interpersonal skills
