A well-regarded accountancy firm is currently seeking a part-qualified Accountant to provide support to their finance team during a busy period, on a 6 month contract.
Within this role you will play a key role in a team which provides advice to support financial decision making and also reports on the performance of the different service lines within the business. In addition to identifying potential financial improvements, you will provide recommendations for pricing, resource allocation or cost management. You will help to prepare financial plans, targets, budgets and forecasts for each allocated service line.
Ideally you will have good business, technical and commercial skills to be able to provide advice to client facing professionals in line with company policies and accounting standards. Responsibilities will include:
Producing and analysing monthly, quarterly and annual reporting and answering queries
Completing ledger controls and building a clear understanding of the purpose of controls
Drafting complex reporting, judgements and analysis of data for review and/or completion by the Finance Manager
Performing reconciliations
Undertaking variance analysis and also identifying opportunities to improve processes
Experience and skills required:
Part-qualified Accountant
Strong analytical and numerical skills
Ability to interpret financial reports and present financial data in a user-friendly way
Excellent relationship building skills
Experience using Excel and Google Sheets
