An independent trust company that has been celebrated for their exceptional client service which sets them apart from their competitors, is currently seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to join their team

Responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking day to day bookkeeping from source documents including banking systems, bank statements and property statements 

  • Reviewing entity ledgers and bookkeeping records in advance of accounts preparation

  • Assisting with queries and liaising with third parties for information, where required

  • Reviewing bookkeeping and identifying any errors or non-compliance and taking corrective action 

  • Providing periodic reporting on clients where necessary 

Experience and skills required:

  • Good working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping 

  • Previous experience analysing, posting and reconciling third party valuations and statements 

  • Ability to reconcile ledgers with VAT returns and statements received from tax authorities

  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills 

  • Confident using both manual and computerised accounting systems
