As a private equity specialist you will be responsible for the fund valuation, investor reporting and accounting services provided to clients. In this role you will report to the Associate Director of private equity accounting services, ensuring that the provision of accounting services are aligned with the clients service level agreement, all internal and external deadlines are considered and met and all operational policies, procedures and checklists are followed.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the drafting and reviewing of service level agreements incorporating measurable and meaningful key performance indicators

  • Overseeing and being actively involved in the day-to-day servicing of private equity fund clients

  • Supervising the accurate, efficient and timely delivery of all valuations, capital accounts, quarterly statements and annual financial statements

  • Assisting the onboarding deal team with the set-up and take-on process of any new private equity business

  • Building strong working relationships with external parties related to the fund

Experience and skills required:

  • Experience within the finance industry and specifically experience in private equity fund accounting preparation

  • Hold a recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA/ACA)

  • Experience in people management

  • Excellent working knowledge of fund accounting practices and standards, particularly IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP

  • Sound analytical skills and strong problem solving skills with an excellent awareness of commercial and risk management based client solutions
