A progressive new opportunity to manage and lead the Southampton office of a leading funds and corporate services provider.

In this role you will be responsible for the services provided to the Group by the Southampton office and for the management, growth and development of the team covering fund administration, accounting, and other ad-hoc services that are provided to private equity and real estate fund manager clients by the wider group.

Working closely with the Head of Client Accounting and the wider client operations team, you will contribute to the ongoing development, refinement, implementation of and adherence to best practice controls processes and controls within the organisation.

You will be expected to lead, support and develop your team to create a high performing culture, as well as proactively identifying and implementing opportunities to expand the services provided to the group from the Southampton office.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Building a scalable team and operating model to support the growth of the group

  • Providing excellent levels of financial client service for real estate and private equity clients in line with company standards, procedures, guidelines and appropriate accountancy standards

  • Managing day-to-day operation of the teams in delivering professional services to internal and external clients

  • Leading and delivering continuous improvement programmes across the office, ensuring the most effective and quality driven services to customers both internally and externally

  • Planning and organising own client portfolio and team time planning

Experience and skills required:

  • Strong people management experience and proven ability to manage and oversee growth of team

  • Ideally hold a recognised professional qualification (ICSA/STEP/ACCA), however this is not essential

  • Proven experience in a financial services environment, ideally in a private equity or real estate accounting role

  • Understanding and knowledge of current industry and accounting legislation, regulation and working practices
