A senior level role within a leading independent offshore bank and trust company, whose entrepreneurial spirit and unrelenting focus on clients’ needs, is at the heart of everything they do.
As Head of Finance, you will play a key role in the continued success of the business and be responsible for leading and managing the Jersey finance team, in this rewarding and challenging role.
You will ensure proper financial controls and regulatory reporting procedures are in place, manage the production of client financial statements and monitor the overall business performance against strategy and budget.
Responsibilities will include:
Overseeing the production of financial reporting for the Jersey office
Producing and presenting board reports
Managing the preparation of annual statutory financial statements
Acting as the Jersey subject matter expert in relation to SOX compliance requirements
Preparing financial plans and latest forecasts for the business, to enable the company to monitor actual results against the agreed budgets and benchmarks
Providing assistance with the implementation of change management initiatives
Experience and skills required:
Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with at least 10 years’ post qualification experience
Minimum 8 years’ accounting experience in either a financial services, banking or trust environment
Previous company management experience, including financial management, operations and strategic/financial planning
Ability to manage a variety of tasks whilst maintaining high professional standards
Good technical US GAAP knowledge and an awareness of operating in a ‘SOX’ control environment
