Within this role you will ensure the business meets its regulatory and legal obligations during day to day operations and when managing the client base.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing advice and guidance regarding AML legislation and the JFSC handbook
Updating and maintaining compliance policies and procedures with any new regulatory updates
Working with the Compliance Officer to ensure AML and compliance controls remain fit for purpose, carrying out regular tests and gap analysis
Preparing reports for the board
Identifying any training needs and developing appropriate training tools
Experience and skills required:
Minimum 5 years’ compliance experience within financial services, including previous reporting experience
Hold a relevant professional compliance qualification to diploma level
Excellent knowledge of the local legislative framework, including Codes of Practice and AML regulatory guidance
Strong analytical and decision making skills
Pragmatic approach to problems and good interpersonal skills
