Responsibilities will include:

  • Actively selecting and selling commercial insurance products to clients which are designed to meet their long term needs 

  • Reviewing, evaluating and processing a portfolio of existing commercial clients, arranging meetings with clients and identifying new business opportunities 

  • Liaising and negotiating with Underwriters and/or insurers to obtain appropriate policy cover and terms 

  • Monitoring available products in the market to ensure the company remains competitive

  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key insurance suppliers

  • Training, coaching and developing less experienced colleagues 

Experience and skills required:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within insurance, sales or customer service

  • Either hold or currently working towards a relevant professional qualification (Cert CII or higher) 

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, approachable and friendly manner 

  • Previous experience working in a targeted and performance-driven environment 

  • Excellent telephone manner
