Jeralie Pallot

Jeralie is the Managing Director of Rowlands and has been a part of the company since 1994. Jeralie is very much a ‘hands on’ Director and is involved in all aspects of the day to day recruitment at Rowlands, but in particular the Rowlands Executive division, which specialises in board level appointments.

Born in New Zealand, Jeralie has worked in recruitment both in her home country and Australia, where she was involved in the initial launch of the UK company Select Appointments. She completed her recruitment exams in Sydney and was accepted as a Fellow of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. This is an accreditation granted by the industry’s professional body in recognition of over 10 years experience in recruitment at a recommended standard. 

Together with her ‘local’ husband, Jeralie arrived in Jersey intending to stay for two years – that was in 1990! They are now settled in St Ouen with their son, Zachary, and their daughter Phoebe.

 

 

 

Kate Allan

Kate joined Rowlands in March 1998 as a Consultant on the permanent desk. In 1999 Kate passed her Diploma in Recruitment and became a member of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation. Kate was awarded Fellowship of the REC in 2005.

 

July 2000 saw Kate's appointment as Manager. Her position carries responsibility for the day to day running of the permanent and temporary desk. She also maintains a hands-on approach to account management.

 

Kate began her career in London in hotel management working in four and five star hotels. She specialised in Personnel and Training and her first position was in a large hotel with 450 staff.

 

Moving on to First Leisure Corporation as Corporate Personnel & Training Officer, Kate looked after the finance division and head office staff. A seven-year career with Hotel L'Horizon began when Kate moved to Jersey in 1991. Initially working in Conference and Banqueting, she later became Personnel & Training Manager.

 

Kate's interests include dining out, quizzes (she appeared on the Weakest Link in 2003 and is still traumatised!), cooking and travelling. She has graduated from the Open University with a first class (honours) degree in English and Psychology. Kate is an active member of the 747 Breakfast Club.

 

 

 

Charles Lamb

Finance and Payroll Manager

Charles has recently joined the company to run the Payroll and Finance section of the business.

He is a qualified Accountant who who has worked in both the Finance Industry and in a Commercial environment.

He originally qualified and worked as an Electronics Engineer but moved to the commercial side of business via an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.

He got a chance to pull all the threads of his experience and education together and gain operations experience whilst working in the United States where he was responsible for setting up and running a small scale production cell manufacturing power supplies.

He recently spent a year at film school in Australia where his experience of the "fight against time" that film making is, has put him in good stead for the payroll function for which he is now  responsible!

When not at work he can be seen making a fool of himself to please his son!

 

 

 

Mary Cushnahan

Mary came to Jersey in 2008 to join her sister and brother in law who had relocated from the Emerald Isle.
  
She undertook recruitment roles in both Jersey and Guernsey where she recruited for the financial services sector. After travelling between islands Mary decided to finally settle in Jersey.

 

Mary joined our company in June 2010 on a permanent desk.  She is now looking forward to becoming a successful account manager working closely with both clients and candidates.

 

In her spare time Mary enjoys shopping, socialising with friends and travelling home to visit her family.

 

 

Hollie Dougan

Hollie joined Rowlands in December 2008 on the permanent desk.

 

Born in Jersey, Hollie was educated at St. Peter's Primary School, Les Quennevais Secondary School and Hautlieu Sixth Form College. At 17, Hollie was accepted to study Musical Theatre at Performers College in London, however decided at the last minute to pursue her academic studies.

She read Law at Southampton Solent University instead, achieving a 2:1 classification, and then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Bloomsbury, London. Hollie really enjoyed her university days, especially living in London for the year, and always enjoys returning for short visits.

Hollie decided to return to Jersey and enter the recruitment world which she is thoroughly enjoying.

 

Hollie recently passed the Diploma of Recruitment Practice with flying colours. 

In her spare time Hollie enjoys spending time with her best friends, going on and planning hot beach holidays, going out and socialising and doing lots of shopping!

 

 

 

Rebecca Law

Born in Australia, Rebecca moved to Jersey at the tender age of 12 months and was educated at Mont Nicolle, Les Quennevais and Hautlieu schools.

 

Rebecca went on to study a BA in Politics and Sociology at Sussex University where she achieved a 2:1 with Honours. Whilst studying Rebecca was provided with some of the best years of her life, experiencing the wonderful world of Brighton was an education in itself!

 

Since graduating, Rebecca has worked in both trust and HR and decided to enter the world of recruitment at Rowlands in May 2011 to utilise her skills and experience.

 

Rebecca has a keen interest in travel and world affairs and often talks of her time in Ghana where she taught English to a class of 50 five year olds… she likes a challenge!

 

 

Jacqui Hawkins

Senior Administrator

Jacqui is often described as the lynchpin of Rowlands. She has been with the company since 1995 and in that time has successfully tackled virtually every role within the business.

 

Jacqui is a qualified Consultant and as our Senior Administrator her responsibilities include payroll, accounts and temporary administration as well as the IT system and special projects.  Jacqui also provides cover for all our Consultants.

 

Before joining Rowlands, her previous positions included being a Secretary and PA in the Finance and Commercial Industry.

 

One of Jacqui's main hobbies is swimming as well as spending time with her two children.

 

 

 

Kelly Neagle

Kelly joined Rowlands in February 2011 initially on a temporary basis. However, in June 2011 Kelly joined the team permanently as a recruitment administrator.

Born in Jersey, Kelly was educated at Le Rocquier School and then went on to college to study Health and Social care.

Kelly previously worked in Trust as a Trust administrator before leaving the Island for a year to travel south east Asia and India. While travelling Kelly loved meeting new people, learning new cultures and spent time volunteering in orphanages around south east Asia. Upon returning to the Island Kelly felt she wanted a change in career and decided to go down the recruitment route which she is very much enjoying!

In her spare time Kelly loves socialising with friends, travelling, dancing, music, shopping and generally having fun

 

 

Kim Dingle

Kim joined Rowlands in August 2011 as a Recruitment Administrator/Receptionist.

Born in Jersey, Kim was educated at St Michael's Prep School and Jersey College for Girls.

Kim went on to study Education and Psychology at Cardiff University in which she received a 2:1 with Honours. Kim thoroughly enjoyed her university days and living in the vibrant city of Cardiff.

Kim returned to the island after graduating and worked in Corporate Administration for two years before deciding she wanted a change in career and promptly joined the world of recruitment.

In her spare time Kim loves spending time with her friends and family, going on holiday, shopping and snowboarding.

 

 

 

Peter Edwards

Peter Edwards has been involved with Rowlands since 1991, initially as a non-executive Director and, since 1995 as Chairman and principal. Peter has many years HR experience, which began in the international petro-chemical industry. Looking after up to 300 staff in such diverse geographical locations as Algeria, Nigeria, Iraq and Iran helped hone Peter's HR skills. His experience is further complemented by his involvement in the Stock Exchange, London Metal Exchange, and the mining industry in what is now Namibia.

 

A resident of the island since 1962, Peter is married with two sons. During his time in Jersey he has been actively involved the Island's horse racing scene.
